The Prelude T1 DSU provides low-cost access to high-speed T1, fractional T1, and frame relay services for data terminal equipment (DTE) such as routers and video codecs. Featuring a software-selectable DTE interface, the Prelude T1 DSU provides RS-449/EIA-530 or V.35 electrical interfaces for applications such as Internet connection or point-to-point data communication. Bandwidth allocation, also software-selectable, allows you to configure the Prelude T1 DSU for data rates from 56 kbps to 1.536 mbps.

You can manage the Prelude T1 DSU from a local VT-100-compatible terminal or from a remote site with a serial link or Hayes-compatible modem. It supports the industry-standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) for traps (alarms).
