The DL3155 Access Multiplexer is a cost-effective alternative to Quick
Eagle’s DL3100 Series, which enables you to connect your data terminal
equipment (DTE) devices to a public or private T3 / E3 network at full
or sub-rate speeds. The unit comes with a two HSSI ports and supports
symmetric and asymmetric data rates of up to 34.2 Mbps (in 358 Kbps
increments for E3) or 44.2 Mbps (in 300 Kbps increments for T3).
The DL3155 Access Multiplexer ships with both T3 and E3 firmware loaded,
which enables you to select your preferred network interface during the
initial setup and make the life easier for those customers that want to
deploy their equipment worldwide. In this case, it takes just a stroke
of a key to change between the T3 and E3 firmware.
Extensive diagnostic and management features such as Ethernet management
port, SNMP agent, or serial console port enable local and remote fault
analysis.
Ideal for carrier backbone connectivity via satellite, the DL3155 Access
Multiplexers offer smooth clock support on the HSSI (towards the LAN) as
well as asymmetric clock support towards the WAN.
For organizations (e.g. government agencies, financial institutions) that have
enhanced security requirements, Quick Eagle offers a specially designed firmware
version for the DL3155 Access Multiplexer that supports TACACS+. This feature
provides centralized validation of users, who attempt to gain access to routers,
network access servers, etc. The TACACS+ feature provides modular authentication,
authorization, and accounting facilities in conjunction with the user’s central
TACACS+ server.
The DL3155 Access Multiplexer’s small footprint (you can fit two units
side-by-side in a 19” rack) ensures an economical way of deployment.
